Quote: Excellence

by Jeannie Choate on May.05, 2010, under Horsemanship Quotes

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” –    Aristotle

IT IS BUT ONLY A DANCE

by Jeannie Choate on Apr.20, 2010, under Horsemanship Quotes

By Karen P. Miller

It is but only a dance, the cowboy says to his vast
following of friends.
For you see, even though there are no words to be uttered or
spoken, no musical notes to be awoken, it is only the rhythm
that is felt between a man and his four legged friend.
For at that time when there is a movement of a muscle and a
motion of a hand that the angelic psalm is sung, and friends
join together to effortlessly dance a dance.
As one they will glide across earths beautiful bounty and a
symposium of music will be made.
And the unsung words that are harmoniously proclaimed are
those felt between one friend to another.
A man, and his four legged friend.
Oh! It is but only a dance.
